Monday 4 the Missing ~Brenda Lambert~

Interviewing family members of murder victims is one of the most difficult aspects of my job. As a journalist, I'm committed to reporting the news - to be the messenger of events, good and bad, in the community. But how can one ask a grieving mother to describe the special qualities of her dead daughter without feeling a tiny tear in one's own heart?

Stephen:
I wrote a poem in memory of all missing people and I thought I would share it with you.
No more do we hear your sweet laughter,
Yet we hope to see you smile once more,
You floated away on an unknown breeze
We miss the sparkle of your eyes,
But your memory will always linger,
You vanished in body but you never left us,
You are still in our hearts
And in our thoughts, from
The orchestra of birds to the sleepy night,
Floating away from us on breezes we do not know,
Wherever you are in this vast Earth,
No matter how many rivers you cross,
No matter how many roads you walk on,
Still in our hearts forever
Our beloved, our treasure.

My name is Jessica and Brenda was my Aunt. Although I didn't know her very well because I was very young of her disappearance-I've heard great things about her and feel very sad that I didn't get to see her and get to kmow her as good and how often as I would liked. I know God has a plan for the man whom took her from us and I would like to thank my Aunt Christy for putting up all the web sites for Brenda. I have called Det. Bailey myself and talked to him about Brenda and it just seems like I get nowhere with it and something needs to be done. I think the whole state of West Virgina knows what happened to her and no one will stand up and say it--and even if we did who would believe us?? I think there is some what evidence to at least do some digging if you know what I mean!! We waiting for them to do something about this! My Mawmaw morned herself to death over Brenda she loved her children so much--so please someone if you can relate to us and know what we are going threw and have any kind of info. on Brenda please let us know we want to give her a proper burial!! HOW MUCH EVIDENCE DO YA'LL NEED? I KNOW THAT THERE IS SOMETHING MORE THAT CAN BE DONE!!!

Jessica,

Have you read the guestbook on Brendas webpage lately? I stopped by there last Monday. Check out what I left there.
There are quite a few people on Peace 4 the Missing who CAN relate to what your family is going through. We are a friendly enough group.

Mommabear, thank you so much for the support. I know that their is alot of people on the web that reads these blogs about Brenda I am just hoping that the right person reads them as well. My hints of doing something wasn't a cry out to the web it was mainly stating that I really wish someone else pick up on Brenda's case or let the cold case files get a hold of it. I think it has been kept in that office for a reason--so that no one else will figure it out. We think that someone is trying to cover something up and we want them to give the case over to someone else. Nothing has been done yet we just simply want someone else to take a wack at it. We will always have hope and we are trying not to get discouraged but nothing has been done with this case in so long. The caring people on the web are doing a better job on this case than the whole police department is. Thank you mommabear for showing me a different web site for Brenda, for your prayers, and also for your support!!!

Hi, my name is Tim Christian, Brenda Lambert's brother, I think that Det. Bailey has been on this case for too long for nothing not to be solved. It has been 13 years and still nothing-just hopes and prayers. You think tere must be a reason that it is not solved??? Det. Bailey drop this case and let the F.B.I pick it up or let it go to the cold case files,at this rate we are not going anywhere at this rate.HOW LONG DOES THIS FAMILY HAVE TO SUFFER? Again,it has been 13 years of suffering and heart ache and the loss of both parents due to morning and searching. Please let this case go to someone else.

Jessica & Tim

Missing Pieces features Cold Cases.
Todd Matthews hosts this. You might want to look into Missing Pieces as well as Todd Matthews, and perhaps try to make contact.
Also, check out Susan Murphy Milano's Journal
Susan hosts Justice Interrupted.
These aren't just radio shows. The people who are involved work at finding answers/solutions.
And as I've mentioned before, Peace 4 the Missing can come up with some great resources/ideas. I know first hand that Maggie's Rose can come up with a hundred useful links in 3.3 seconds! (ok..I'm exaggerating on that one...but some of these guys in Peace4 really are good at coming up a list of the people you want to write to, in order to file complaints ... that sort of thing.)

NEVER hesitate to drop me a line, if you need help searching for more resources, if you need more information posted, or even if you just need someone to jibber with.
When I come up with some new ideas, I'll drop by your webpage for Brenda and leave a message on the guestbook.
