Details of Disappearance
Del Valle was last seen walking to Blackstone Elementary School on Shamut Avenue in Boston, Massachusetts during the morning hours of December 20, 1976. She was enrolled in a third-grade bilingual class there. The school was located approximately one and a half blocks from Del Valle's family's residence. She never arrived at school that day and has not been heard from again ...
The Charley Project has done an amazing job researching information for Nelida, so I'm sending you that way, if you are interested in knowing more about Nelida Del Valle.

I saw her picture in a "Have you seen this person?" ad. Hope that helps.
I saw her by chance today on the back of an ad, and thought it was strange that they'd be looking for someone missing for so long.
Anon and Anon,
I appreciate the both of you taking an extra moment to leave a comment.
To me, it isn't strange that info would be posted for someone who's been missing for so many years.
As many years as it's been, I am sure that to the family of Nelida, her disappearance is still quite fresh in their minds...
as if it had happened just yesterday.
This family deserves some type of closure.
They deserve to know what happened to Nalida.
Exposure is the only chance of keeping Nelida's case in the eye of the public.
Let's face it, the chances of Nancy Grace doing a 15 minute segment on Nalida is about slim to none.
Someone Somewhere knows Something...
and this random circulation is a chance to possibly reach that one person.
Again, thank both of you for taking a moment to stop by.
And even more important, thank you for taking that extra step of doing a bit of research on Nalida, when you saw her picture.
I saw the ad on a flier today. It also struck me as odd that someone would still be looking for someone after so long. I hope they do find her. I can't imagine living with that pain in my heart for that long.
I saw Nelida on the back of my junk mail today. I was surprised by how long she has been missing. I'm sure all the years that have passed doesn't ease the lose for her family. If they never find her I hope one day they can find answers.
I did in fact google her after reading something on the national missing website and I wanted to see if any type of thing was ever found or updated but it's EXTREMELY nice to know that even though all this time has lapsed there are people who still care and have hopes in giving some sort of closure to this poor unforgotten faimly. I was really hoping when I opened the link I was going to be greeted with something astounding that was found with all the new technology.I pray for her and her family and hope that someday some hero will bring this all to an end!
I frist heard of this girl in 1987 when i was 7 years old.I attended blackstone elementary then.her mother never stop looking for her.she has tried everything.her mother ids nearly blind now. my grandamother told about how this girl had dissapeared so out of curiosity i searched online for children missing in the southend area in boston,ma.around blackstone school and got a link that took me into the missing children website... i must say the progression picture was well done.i hope she found soon. please dont forget abt and all the millions of millions of other kids that need to come on. i would like to thank whoever runs this site...great job
