I know I have asked this many times, yet I will ask once again...
Doesn't EVERY missing child, and EVERY missing person deserve to be found?
I'm giving google a workout tonight, as I search for information about Trevor Paul Morse, a 30-year-old resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, who vanished in May 2007.
Trevor's name comes up on sites such as
The Charley Project
North American Missing Persons
National Center for Missing Adults
Someone is Missing
Yet, finding any local news coverage took awhile. Finally, I found it!
Updated: May 14, 2007
An El Paso, Texas family spent their weekend in Las Vegas looking for their loved one who went missing a week ago.
Thirty-year-old Trevor Morse was last seen, last Sunday near Town Center Drive and Flamingo. Volunteers with the Nevada Center for Missing Loved Ones, and members of his family searched the desert and mountains for hours this weekend, but had no luck.
Morse's family says not knowing what happened to their loved one has been agonizing,"we want him back alive and well. Until we find him, we won't know anything, and I think the stress of that is the worst part," said Daniel Morse, the missing man's brother.
The family says Morse may suffer from depression which could be a factor in his disappearance. Metro does not suspect foul play.

Perhaps What I find quite frustrating, is reading this heart felt plea from Trevor's father:

PRESS RELEASE
Seeking coverage on the following missing person case on the one year anniversary of his disappearance:
A Father’s plea –
Trevor Morse missing local from Las Vegas, NV since May 6, 2007. Las Vegas, NV, May 2008 -- All over the nation good people going about their normal days go missing…vanish. It does not matter if it's a major metropolitan area or small town. People of all ages and all walks of life go missing. Most of the time we only hear about the missing children, teenagers or mothers as they are the ones that media deems as newsworthy.Care2:Trevor Morse
"Las Vegas Metro Police Department is an uncaring entity unto itself and answering only to itself, we came to this conclusion after only a few days of our son's disappearance. It is easier for clarity sake to highlight the time line before and after Trevor's' vanishing act."
Check out this timeline, HERE.
Few can ever know what the family and friends are faced with when their loved one disappears. I can't even explain accurately what we all have endured and continue to endure on a daily basis since Trevor’s disappearance. To make matters worse in the midst of this emotional upheaval, this emotional rollercoaster, we also have to endure what we perceive to be lack of cooperation by the very public officials that we put our trust in to find answers for us, to find Trevor for us. Phone calls, letters and emails are not answered by those very people we sought out and put our faith in to find our missing loved one. How can these public officials not keep the family in the loop, keep us simply updated?
After reading the above, written by a desperate father searching for his son,
I ask only one question:
WHO DO YOU TURN TO, IF YOUR LOVED ONE GOES MISSING???
